We understand that you might be feeling the tension with COVID-19 virus warnings popping up all over the place, but we at Seven Wellness want to shift the focus back on to you and your health!

We feel we hold a social responsibility as a community to spread love and positivity during difficult times – therefore we are launching the #WellwithSeven campaign, encouraging you to connect and share your health tips during this time!

Need some tips on how to boost your immunity?

 

1. Increase your vitamin C intake.

 

Whether this is through supplements or fresh fruit & veg, increasing the amount of Vitamin C in your diet is going to boost your immune system sky high making it super difficult for any virus to touch you!

 

A super simple recipe we highly recommend would be our favorite Immunity Boosting Juice:

 

2 Lemons (juiced)

2- inch piece of ginger (juiced or mashed)

1 tsp turmeric

½ tsp vitamin C powder (or juice of 1 orange)

½ cup water

Honey (to taste – or juice of 1 green apple)

 

Wash all ingredients thoroughly and put through the juicer (or blender if you do not own a juicer) and enjoy!

2. Meditate

 

Did you know that if you are stressing about the possibility of getting sick, you are 70% more likely to contract an illness?

 

Meditation is one of the best ways that you can release stress from the body. Whether you simply take 10- minutes to observe your body & mind or follow a guided meditation; just by quietening the mind you are releasing tension that is held within.

 

 

3. Move your body – keep that energy flowing!

 

Of course, we would recommend yoga. But whether that is a quick flow to get your heart rate up or a delicate flow to release trapped energy, any form of exercise is going to help boost your immunity!

 

Just by doing 15 minutes of exercise per day you are encouraging your little immunity buddies out of their hiding spots (spleen, lungs & lymph nodes) meaning that whilst you get active, they are also actively seeking any potential threats to your health.

 

So, honor yourself, eat well & keep moving. Stay mindful of your health and ultimately stay focused on you, your body and what you can do to stay healthy!
